Humane League of Lancaster County Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic  PR4      
The Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is a collaborative effort between the Humane League of Lancaster County and the Lancaster Career and Technology Center’s Veterinary Assistant Program. The Clinic provides low cost spay and neuter services to the public and is designed to target the lower income areas of the County who cannot afford the normal price for these services at their local veterinary hospitals. The clinic performs only spay and neuter services and is not a full service clinic. The clinic is held on specific Wednsedays at the Willow Street Campus of the Lancaster Career and Technology Center. In addition to dogs and cats, the clinic will do rabbit neuters.

Committed to ending the killing of dogs and cats as a means of animal population control and is working to create a no-kill community in central Pennsylvania. CPAA is composed of individuals and more than 50 rescues, shelters, and other animal welfare organizations, all working toward the goal of ending the killing through aggressive spay/neuter programs and resources, increasing adoption rates for homeless animals, and educating the community on the importance of spaying and neutering.

Animal Rescue, Inc. consists of two locations: A cattery in the Putty Hill area of Baltimore MD, and a 33 acre farm located in PA at the MD border just off route I-83. At any one time we have approximately one hundred dogs and several hundred cats between our locations; most of which are available for adoption. Animal Rescue services the greater Baltimore MD - York PA area. Animal Rescue is a "shelter for life" for stray and abandoned animals. Animal Rescue, Inc. does not normally accept personally owned, unwanted pets. Most of our residents are rescued strays.

The Danville shelter sells dog and cat vouchers for spaying and neutering honored by area vets. They are $40 for male cats, $50 for female cats, $50 for male dogs and $60 for female dogs. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. It can be reached at 570-275-0340.

A not-for-profit organization dedicated solely to offering low-cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats, as well as promoting humane education to pet owners and the community. SNAP has no paid employees or staff. Management of the spay/neuter programs, fundraising and administrative functions are all performed by volunteers.

Humane League of Lancaster County - TNR  PR4  140  Lancaster, PA    
Beginning September 1, 2008, the Humane League will no longer accept feral cats for euthanasia.  If you have a feral cat on your property and wish to bring it to the Humane League, you will be asked to schedule an appointment to have the cat spayed or neutered for a fee of just $10.00.


Organization for Responsible Care of Animals (ORCA)  PR8  449  Lancaster, PA    

ORCA'S primary goal is to rescue any ill, or injured, or in-distress animal, stray or abandoned, in Lancaster County, PA and to provide, on our Animal-Alert Hotline, 717-397-8922, information on animal-related problems. It is the purpose of ORCA to respond 24 hours a day to emergencies, and to provide support to police, fire, and other emergency personnel when they are dealing with situations that involve animals. ORCA does not routinely handle healthy stray animals and wildlife, nor does it routinely shelter animals.
