- This free listing service is intended for dogs and cats in local shelters, rescues, and foster homes; strays; and owned pets that cannot stay in their current homes. Dogs and puppies for sale will not be posted! Please notify the webmaster of any inappropriate or questionable postings.
- Listed pets should be local to Central PA and surrounding areas.
- All dogs and cats should be spayed or neutered before placement, and preferably before posting. (Exceptions: Medical issues, or release to a reputable rescue group which will spay/neuter before placement.)
- Use caution when adopting or posting dogs and cats. If you are considering adopting a pet, find out as much as you can about the animal and the organization/person posting the animal. If you are placing a pet you should question prospective adopters extensively, check references (vets, neighbors, petsitters, trainers, etc.), and do a home visit before placing the pet. An adoption contract is strongly recommended.
- "Free To A Good Home" posts are discouraged due to their high potential to attract the wrong type of person. A reasonable adoption fee is recommended. What constitutes a "reasonable" adoption fee may vary, but a good starting point for a private placement is about $50. (Nonprofit rescues and shelters may charge a higher adoption fee.)
- All postings are subject to approval by the webmaster. CentralPADogs reserves the right to edit or remove ads at any time.
- Ads will expire after 60 days.
- Contact the webmaster with any concerns, questions, or technical problems. For questions about a particular pet, please use the contact information provided in the listing.
